Defeats Defeats

Its been a month of Defeats. We lost to Man City in September, and was quickly followed with defeats to Liverpool, Chelsea (twice - once in EPL and once in League Cup); and last weekend, to MU.

We have played fairly well, but it is clear and obvious that the departure of Arteta has left a huge gap in Everton's engine room. We need a playmaker, and we need one quickly. At the moment, Osman is filling that spot and he is doing all right.

With the kind of money we have, we probably can only afford loans in January. Perhaps Pienaar can return for 6 months, since he is rotting at Spurs? There are reports indicating that Moyes is keen to that. To be fair, Pienaar has been unlucky with injuries since he joined Spurs, but he should have never left Everton as he would have automatically taken over Arteta if he was still around

There were also rumours of Darren Gibson from MU. Gibson too is rotting there. He is not as good as Pienaar, in my view; but beggars cant be choosers. Everton would have to take whoever is available within our limited budget. Even if Zidane is willing to come out of transfer and join Everton, I think the fans would probably take that too.

The positive news is that, Everton has lost to all the so-called bigger teams. We did beat Fulham at Craven Cottage, in between all those loses; proving that Everton is more than a match against the teams in midtable or below.

Another positive news is seeing Saha scoring again. Lets hope he stay fit for the next few months.

Lets hope Everton picks up some good points in November to make up for all these defeats.
