January 2013 Transfer Window

Everton tried to sign Leroy Fer, an exciting Dutch Midfielder during the January window; but the deal did not take place. According to Blue sources, Everton was very keen to sign Leroy despite the injury to his knee and all Everton wanted was to pay Leroy's Dutch Club, Twente, a staggered transfer fee. Seems a fair request; but Twente rejected the same.

Stories have been circulating in the net, that Everton is still in contact with Leroy and there are indications that Everton will still try to get him in the summer, and this time perhaps strike a new deal with Twente.

Videos of Leroy shows impressive workrate. He reminds us of Yaya Toure and Patrick Viera. Anyway, he is not with us; and we focus on who are with us instead.

In the summer of 2012, Moyes signed a talented Scottish player in Matthew Kennedy  and this time, he signed highly talented John Stone from Barnsley. Another signing for the future, and we hope Stone will bloom into a good player like how Seamus Coleman and at one time, Dan Gosling bloomed (before he left to Newcastle).

Welcome to Goodison, John Stone!
