Unacceptable

Everton may be many things, but poor team, we are not. To be hammered at Home to WBA 1-4, is just unacceptable.

For many games already we can see; what is plain and obvious is that our strikers are not delivering. So many matches we stayed in control but lost. Defeats to Villa & Blackburn come to mind. Even drawn matches against Fulham & Bolton were matches we should have won based on the possession we had.

The Board must take responsibility for not supplying enough funds to Moyes to purchase a better striker. We cannot always be saying we have no money when other teams continue to spend on the squad. Even Sunderland spent so much money every year buying better players; and we always claim to be bigger than them. Looking at the way they invest, that view may have to reviewed.

So we are now in a relegation dog fight. Every season we do this. Optimism slashed by pessimism by December. But this time; I think we are really in genuine trouble. If the strikers still cant find their scoring habit by now; then it is unlikely they will be scoring a lot in coming games.

Moyes must re-think the strategy. Drop all our strikers and play Cahill alone up front if the current rot persist. Or re-call Vaughn and give him a chance. Play Anichebe up front. Basically try something and dont persist on Saha & Berkford. At least Yakubu gives us some muscle up front; but he too is not sharp enough up front.

If we are not careful, we will go down.
