Toffetiam : It’s Daniel Gosling’s Goal! (Sing to You’ll Never Walk Alone)
BY : Biing
When all seems to be heading for a draw and penalties, who could think Everton could nick a goal on the 118th minute from a well composed shot by 19 year old Dan Gosling? A draw was coming closer even though Everton had the lion share of on-target shots although matched evenly before Lucas’s dismissal.
A tall order to win the match when Moyes substituted three main players in Pienaar (injury), Fellaini (not effective) and Captain Phil (too defensive); with two youngsters Rodwell, Gosling and “has-been” Van Der Melde.
But it took a “has-been” pin-point cross and great composure and controlling skills of the receiving Gosling; to curl the winning goal to the bottom right corner of the net.
Kopites, I am going to rub salt now with this song. Don’t read/sing if you are not ready. Mama sorry. But here it goes, a tribute to Gosling and Everton.
Andy’s crossed to the box
Look up high to the skies
And start to be afraid of a goal.
At the end comes a boy, there’s a golden chance
And there’s sweet controlling of the lad.
Side steps to the left,
Side steps to the right,
And your eyes looked on at goal
*
Shoot now; shoot now with a curling shot
Everton scored the GOAL….
It’s DANIEL GOSLING’S GOAL
